A Non-Believer’s Prayer

Let me be
The embrace of the people
Blinded in faux faith
Of prayers for world peace;
When religion is daily upheaval.

Let me be
But my follower
In pursuit of that contempt
From the journey and not the end,
From the fiend and not just the friend.

Let me be
The voice that echoes
In chambers of thought machines
Of Poors by choice and chance;
The voice that fades the depression reigns.

Let me say a prayer,
O Miraculous in whose miracles
I don’t look to stay.
Let me be
Stronger without you as can be.
